How we started
My name is Kavita Channe and unparalled wine is my passion. My journey into this world followed a simple desire to bring the juice I love to a broader audience.
Over the last decade, I observed the rise of rosé here in the US. I will admit, at first, I was not a huge fan… until I traveled to Provence in 2016 and fell in love with this pink drink. Upon returning, I grew tired of trying glass upon glass—bottle upon bottle—of underwhelming examples that did not hold a candle to what they offered in France. So in 2017 I decided to take my taste buds back to France where I met with over 100 winemakers to find you a rosé of unparalleled exceptionality. One that would appeal to all palates. Bright, accessible, glowing in the glass with a most gorgeous pale copper color, our French rosé can be enjoyed for every occasion.
And we didn’t stop there. We also just dropped our newest varietal, Channé Blanc. She is a traditional French blend that is dry, luminous and smooth… and she just may be steal your heart like she has mine.

IT’S ALL ABOUT FAMILY
Our winemaker, Thomas, has worked the family farm since he was a young child—doing everything from picking grapes to pruning, even fixing a failed tractor or two. When he was 15, his father sent him to agricultural school in Hyères. In the storied region of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, he eventually started studies and internships at viticultural college. Shortly after, he was accepted to the prestigious Changins School in Switzerland, where he immersed himself further into the world of viticulture and oenology. After graduating with high honors Thomas went directly to Western Australia, landing a job during harvest time at Frankland Estate, and working in the cellar as assistant winemaker. The global adventure was a lengthy prelude to a triumphant return to the South of France, assuming reigns of the family Domaine.
It was here that I met Thomas, tending to the grapes on his farm, a warm breeze from the Mediterranean whistling through the vines. At this small, family run operation 25 miles outside of St. Tropez I sipped on some of the most exquisite wines of my life. I knew at once that this was the juice I needed to bring back with me. The one I could be proud to label as Channé Wines.
I never imagined as an Indian girl growing up in London—with a heart set on television entertainment—that I could also find success as an entrepreneur in the world of wine. But after meeting with Thomas, being welcomed into his home, understanding our shared focus and commitment to family, I realized that this was the path I must pursue. Beyond the beauty of the wine we’ve crafted together, Channé is testament to what awaits when you follow your dreams, wherever they may lead.
Channé Wines is comprised of a proprietary blend of classic French grapes: Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. This special selection of fruit highlights 3 separate soils of Côtes de Provence. Elegant, crisp, and rounded with hints of apricot and cherry, Channé Rosé stands apart as a revelatory sipping experience.
Channé Blanc is a traditional Provence-style blend of Sémillon & Ugni Blanc. Smooth, dry, no sugar, long, balanced on the roundness with no tannins. Think hints of floral, quince, lemon, apricot and acacia flowers. This white is truly unparalleled. We could not be more proud to bring this gorgeous varietal from our vineyard right to your hands.
